Job description 

The junior accountant will be part of the accounting team and be working on all accounting  related topics on a day to day basis. Besides accounting tasks, the junior accountant will be  supporting all kinds of fifinancial processes. The successful candidate will be well-versed in local  GAAP (HGB) accounting principles and German/Austria tax law and able to work comfortably with  numbers with attention to detail. The ideal candidate has high competency in using Accounting  software as well as excellent application skills (I.e. Excel).Your experience will help you to become  quickly familiar with the business demands of a complex and fast-growing company. As a smart  accounting advisor, you will evaluate and analyse business operations from the accounting  perspective and give advice and recommendations to improve the operations. 

Your Tasks: 

• Maintain fifinancial records of the head offiffiffice, analysing balance sheets and general ledger  accounts 

• Support monthly and quarterly close procedures and support the preparation of the annual  fifinancial statements 

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, reconcile cash & credit cards transactions  and travel cost 

• Identify accounting needs for tax law purposes (company events, reimbursements, VAT, CIT,  trade income tax) and support tax fifilings 

• Create documentation for accounting entries and perform controls 

• Comply with German GAAP (HGB) standards and German tax law 

• Give accounting advice to colleagues from other departments 

• Develop, implement and document new processes 

• Support the introduction of smart IT solutions for accounting 

Your Profifile: 

• Completed apprenticeship as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte/r), bachelor degree in  Accounting or related subject, or a similar qualifification 

• Solid understanding of German/Austria GAAP (HGB) and German/Austria tax law 

• 1-3 years of Accounting work experience • Analytical mind with strong problem-solving skills and attention to details 

• Experience with manufacturing, airline or engineering fifield companies, as well as high growth  / start up environment would be an advantage 

• Interested in process optimisation, automation, digitisation and big data analytics 

• Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Offiffiffice) and competency in Accounting software  

• Fluent English language skills are essential, business level German and Chinese required,  any other language would be benefificial
