Hefei, China, December 28, 2025 — EHang Holdings Limited (“EHang”), the world’s leading Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) technology company, today announced that it has successfully completed the first public flight of its next-generation long-range, compound-wing, autonomous passenger eVTOL VT-35 at Feidong Bailong Airport in Hefei, Anhui Province.
Theflight fully validated the VT-35’s safety, stability, and reliability, and marked a further deepening of EHang’s strategic cooperation with the City of Hefei in advancing the low-altitude economy, entering a new phase of diversified application and deployment.

Designed for medium- to long-range transportation scenarios, including intercity, cross-sea, and mountainous routes, the VT-35 features autonomous operation, point-to-point connectivity, and environmentally friendly performance. It is designed to accelerate the evolution of the “city-to-city” low-altitude air mobility ecosystem.
The VT-35 represents a major expansion of EHang’s product portfolio and another milestone for China’s intelligent manufacturing capabilities in the global eVTOL industry.
This successful public debut follows the official establishment of the VT-35 series headquarters project in Hefei earlier this year and the aircraft’s global debut in Hefei in October. It marks a substantive step forward in technical validation and scenario-based applications, laying a solid foundation for continued airworthiness certification testing and the future expansion of medium- to long-distance air mobility across cities, islands, and mountainous regions.

In the low-altitude emergency response sector, EHang is working with Hefei’s National Advanced Technology Center and the local Fire and Rescue Department to establish a firefighting pilot program. Centered on the EH216-F firefighting eVTOL, the program includes routine operational testing and aims to develop scalable low-altitude firefighting solutions for scenarios such as high-rise building fires and forest firefighting, providing a replicable model for broader deployment of low-altitude emergency response systems.
In the aerial media sector, EHang’s next-generation GD4.0 drone formation systems are being deployed to create night-sky light shows and high-end ceremonial performances, injecting technological innovation into Hefei’s city branding, cultural tourism, and promotional activities.

As a core partner in Hefei’s low-altitude economy development, EHang continues to deepen its government–enterprise and enterprise–enterprise collaboration model, advancing key initiatives across eVTOL R&D and manufacturing, airworthiness certification, commercial operations, and industrial ecosystem development.
In 2023, EHang entered into a strategic partnership with the Hefei municipal government to jointly advance the low-altitude economy. Since then, EHang has established its East China regional headquarters in Hefei, promoted the routine operation of the EH216-S at the Luogang Urban Air Mobility Operation Center and the Hefei Urban Air Mobility Hub, and launched urban flight experiences and scenic air tour services. These initiatives are paving the way toward future air taxi operations, while leveraging local supply chain strengths to plan the development of an eVTOL manufacturing base in Hefei.

Zhao Wang, Chief Operating Officer of EHang, commented:“As a leading hub for low-altitude economy innovation in China, Hefei offers a strong industrial ecosystem and robust policy support. The first public flight of the VT-35 in Hefei not only highlights EHang’s technological capabilities and market recognition in advanced air mobility, but also signals that Hefei’s low-altitude economy has entered a critical stage of diversified development. Looking ahead, EHang will continue to leverage Hefei as a key strategic base, delivering high-quality products and services to support the high-quality development of China’s low-altitude economy.”
